Commercial printing from digital filesHi everyone,
My apologies if this question has been posted before (I did a search in these forums about commercial printers and most of the answers were about inkjet/do-it-yourself printing). Anyway, here is my question: Can you please recommend which file format and specifications for digital files to be printed at commercial printers (eg, Teds, Kodak, Fuji photo booths, etc). The reason I ask is that I save my files as NEF files, then convert them to TIFF for printing. The commercial printer rang me back saying that my files are too difficult for them to print (14Mb TIFF files with 16bit colour). Another question I want to ask is which professional printing place/company would you recommend? Thanks in advance for your advise and help. Cheers.
Doughnut, jpg is the standard for most photo shops, pro labs are more flexible (but they aren't 20c a 6X4)
