How much do you want to spend and what camera are you using?

I wonder why did you post two threads with same topic and same section?

Cheap option #1: Prime lens (50mm works fine) with Closeup Filters.
Cheap option #2 (presuming you have a telephoto lens): Canon 500D Closeup filter. Perhaps better than above since you don't need to be so close.
Expensive option: Dedicated 1:1 Macro lens.

I have been doing a bit of this at the Floriade here in Canberra. I am predominantly swapping between by 50/1.8 and my Sigma 55-200 with +3 Filter attached. When I want to get very close and personal, I can fit the +3 filter to the 18-55 kit lense, for ridiculously close focusing distances.
