Done and dustedIt's all about to explode.
Bookings for the Sydney Christmas dinner have now closed, and if you've booked, then we look forward to seeing you in town next Saturday night. While I remember, I'm expecting. A package with some goodies, that is. From our good friend Poon, of course. Entries for the White on White challenge have also closed, and your erstwhile judges have started reviewing the entries. We have 18 entries in total, and they're (as always) of an excellent standard. PotY gallery is in the process of being populated, voting will open for this no later than Monday, I would hope. Winners will be announced at the Sydney Christmas dinner, bookings for which have now closed. If you've booked, then we look forward to seeing you in town next Saturday night. And yes, we're going round in circles. g.

Just wondering gallery, if the entries will be posted for the rest of us to look at, or only after the judging process has been completed ?
I am at present judging the entries and I must say that there is an excellent range of images - this will be hard to judge.

I agree with Craig - is there any reason that the entries cannot be seen prior to the envelope being opened at the dinner? They do it for the Archibald. TFF (Trevor)

I would suggest that they not be posted until the judges have decided on a winner(s).
If they are posted prior to a winner(s) being judged then there should be no comments made (post the pics and lock the thread) Chris

Good luck to all the entrants. May the best image win. Good luck to the judges too. Better you than me.
Have fun at the dinner. Enjoy each others company, eat well, drink well and don't drive home intoxicated. Steve.

When the results are announced will the judges be making any comments on their decisions? I'd be interested, for example, on where I failed so badly I came last

I agree, no pictures should been shown until the judges' decision is final. After that they should be posted and we could even have a simple forum poll for a "people's choice award" or something... Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
Surely the Intercontinental would be more appropriate, with a suitable fence to keep undesirables (meaning the public) out? Regards, Patrick

Judging has now been completed, and we have our winners. The envelope will not, however, be opened till Saturday night. In the interim, you will find the gallery of entries here.. I will, probably in the afternoon, go through and add photographers' details to the images. As the judging has finished, you are free to comment on the images. Judges' comments will be added after Saturday night's dinner. Thank you all for your participation. g.

Man! There are some wonderful images here, and the judges deserve their fees for determining the winner.
I'll give my opinion for free though. I think "swanlake02" is outstanding and full kudos to whoever made that image. Thanks to Gary and the judges for doing this great job and congrats to all entrants for their excellent work. TFF (Trevor)

Thanks for putting up the gallery Gary. There are some great photos there, well done everybody, great effort.

As Trevor said there are some great images, and a interesting mix of interpretations. I don't envy the judges having to pick winners from that list.
some really great pics in that lot

Agree with comments - it would have been very hard to judge.
