Last call, April Challenge

Postby gstark on Wed Apr 28, 2010 4:54 pm

Hey, people, it's almost April 30.

We have a number of entries, but you are doing yourself a disfavour if you don't get your entry in.

The prize is truly unique. Well, almost unique, but certainly exclusive.

Full details are here.

Ya gotta be in it to win it!

Greg,

Without asking me, you don't.

But you did, and now you do. (it was).

You too, Cameron.

I had plans for a shot and even did 5 dives in April but, alas, I didn't see what I wanted to photograph. :( No entry from me.

Entries are in and closed.

And I am very happy with the quality of what I see.

Not so much the quantity ... but that gives those who bothered to enter a better chance to win the prize.

Judging is starting; stay tuned.

Hi Patrick.

Yes. Hopefully tomorrow evening.

I'm just waiting for the three judges to complete their preliminary viewings, and then I'll post the gallery details.

Actually, no. Neither Leigh nor I are judging this time round.

Three virgin judges, as it were. And I've been given tinfoil-clad guarantees as to their purity. :)

Interesting; but more relevantly, how does one become a judge of virgins?

The virgins may need to be put to death!

One has completed his initial tasks, and the other two will be doing theirs on Monday and Tuesday nights. Oh, yes, I see the problem. :)

I'm sorry, but I would rather wait until they've all had their first look at the images before opening up the gallery. I'd hate to have their thinking influenced by any discussions here.

Not that this would happen ... but best to be safe.

Ok ... the initial phase of the judging has been completed. Each of the judges selected exactly the same three images, but none of them in the same order as the others. :)

That's cool; I now have them in solitary confinement, on stale taco chips, bad salsa, and reruns of Question Time, until they agree on the order.

In the meantime, the image gallery lives here.
