Yep, here they are - the details of our Daylight Savings Timesnap.
And this time, we're going to be exploring every avenue of every street of every city and in every state to uncover those hidden, much maligned but well used treasures of our society - the public loo.
And in case you're having trouble trouble finding a suitable edifice, our feral government, having nothing better to do with your money, has created a website especially to help us locate every public facility in the country.
And if you are finding that your local public conveniences are not conveniently located, then you should seek and find an outstanding outhouse.
So, there you have it: shoot the wind. but not the contents. Keep it clean, please; remember to wipe, and to wash your hands after making a successful, er, deposit. Onto you CF card, that is.
Let the CaNikons loose from 7:00 am in the morning, and you should be evacuated by 5:00 pm; images (disinfected) to be posted to this thread.
Sydney Christmas Dinner
Bookings are now open for our Sydney Christmas dinner. December 8, full details here.

All I can say is..... what a crappy idea
Is there a gallery or "host-your-own", with the risk that photos will go missing over time compared to the previous galleries?

Phew, that sounds at least feasible. I was afraid you make us shoot the non-existent hour on Sunday morning...
EDIT ...which incidentally my post seems to fall into. Maybe it's time to change the time zone in my profile
Cheers

I wonder how Andrew (ATJ) will go underwater. I guess, no trouble at all. Maybe the local swimming pool would fit into the category of "local loo".

Ok ...
For those who want some gallery space for this, I've created a gallery at galleries.dslrusers.com, but you'll need me to create a login for you before you can use it.
Please PM myself or Leigh, and we'll take care of it for you.

This is actually a very important facility for people with disabilities to identify them when planning trips etc. Three months ago I had to do an audit of 32 such facilities for a municipality here in Melbourne to ensure the ones nominated as accessible were in fact accessible by people with disabilities ie in wheelchairs, visually impaired etc.
Thay detail the latt/long on the site as there are personal GPS systems used by blind people that rely on this. Here are a couple
http://www.humanware.com/en-australia/products/gps
http://www.senderogroup.com/
You will find lat and long will become very common on all service based websites for this reason, when you see in practice how well these work it's amazing, it identifies intersections, hazards, places of interest etc.
Just another perspective

Bruce,
We thank you for adding this important perspective to the website I referred to. This is, indeed, most valuable work that is being done.

The ANU School of Art opposite the Gallery.
Believe it or not but the quality of graffiti in the School of Art loos is actually better than the samples I've seen in other facilities on campus

I went to Lake Leake after that, and I left when the Willow Tree started dropping limbs. You probably picked a better spot.

I think you're right. Don't think I've seen any graffiti there since the kids painted it.
Here's another view of some of their great work which extends around the whole block and inside on the doors too.

Gary that tolietmap.gov.au website is a cack!!
run by ''A project of the National Continence Management Strategy"
the "suggest a location" for a public toilet is the best fun... putting in mates street addresses
For the uneducated, now might be a good time to familiarise yourself with the Common Continence Definitions... link [urle="http://www.health.gov.au/internet/wcms/publishing.nsf/Content/continence-definition.htm"]here[/url]
familarise yourself with the meanings of
wick-back
after dribble
penile sheath
faecal impaction
Micturition
Prompted Voiding
and we will help make a better society.
