PMA is here

Postby gstark on Thu Jun 25, 2009 7:37 pm

So is Poon, and his brother.

I caught up with them earlier this afternoon, while moving 24 boxes of goodies to the Exhibition Centre for their stand. They are looking forward to meeting as many of you as they can, and to enjoying dinner with us on Saturday night.

They are on the Phottix Stand, #553. Hall 5, towards the back, and opposite the Fuji stand.

I'll look at the other PMA threads later this evening, and see if I can prepare lists of those who will be attending Saturday's events, those being the Minimeet, and then the dinner.

Anyone who has not yet expressed their interest should do so now, please, in this thread.

Gary,

Pleased to say that Chryssine is now well enough to attend PMA and to come with me to the Dinner that evening.

We think the mini meet may be a touch too exhausting for her new found healthy hip

What do you want to know about it?

We've had one here for a couple of weeks now. It's very simply in operation, and is basically the same as the Nikon unit.

Probably outside the exhibition centre, near the convention centre. Northern end of the exhibition centre.

Oh yes, I have exhibitors' pases for those who have indicated they can help. And a couple of spares. :)

Just turn up and call me on the mobile. I'll come out and give you your pass.

Put me down for the minimeet on Saturday. I have my pass and am ready to go (well, I have a few things to do before hand, but...)

Do you have a price for it? Also, does it work in the same way as the Nikon one (ie - would need 2 of them for 2 cameras)? Or, does it store a log file that you apply at a later stage?

Any photos of it as well?

Cheers

As noted above, it's basically the same as the Nikon unit. Same size. Same shape. Same chip. Works exactly the same way. My understanding is that it comes from the same OEM factory that Nikon use in China. I'll let you make your own deductions from that detail.

They're marked at $220, but Poon was giving massive discounts from marked prices today. The stand was rather busy ..... :) I'm sure that he'll look after forum members ....

Any photos of it as well?

If you've seen the Nikon one, then it's almost the same.
