This week's image was a standout for me. From John (Oneputt) comes this one ...
Shot with the 80-400VR, the acuity, colours, John's use of depth of field ... and the way the diagonals work make this image for me.

This is one of the most beautiful nature images I've seen for a while.
All the elements are there - sharp focus, beautiful composition, wonderful lighting, perfectly OOF background to emphasise the subject, and although the subject doesn't have vivid colouring, the colour is vibrant.
Congratulations John, and an excellent selection as PotW Gary.
