POTW 17 June 2008Time for me to choose picture of the week again. It's always a bloody hard decison and, as usual, we have some fantastic work on display here by some very talented people. For me it was a tight choice, but eventually I settled on the image below from Rel aka blacknstormy. While she normally posts interesting pics of all kinds of critters she occasionally comes up with a gem like the image below. I'd have liked to have seen a bigger version since it appears to have fantastic tonal detail, but even at this size it's a great example of photographic minimalism. The image conveys a wonderful sense of pristine nature at its tranquil best. Congratulations Rel on this wonderful shot.

I got the shock of my life when I logged on - POTW !!! Thank you so much Stubbsy - you've made an old girls day ;) And it was even taken with the old 80-200 :) Thanks everyone for your positive comments too - I'm not real flash at landscapes, but every now and then I fluke it ;) :) :) Woo hoo Hugs Rel
