How impressive is this image by Big V in South Australia of Semaphore Jetty? It just shows that cameras aren't only for sunny days. Very impressive shot, the straight on composition with people in it and wild waves make it a compelling shot which draws the viewer in. I half expect to see this shot as a print somewhere with a caption underneath, it really has that unique it quality. Congratulations Big V on a great image. Thanks all, this shot was absolutely dull in the colour version and when I was taking the series I kept saying to myself "when the light aint right, process it in black and white" Glad people appreciate the conversion.

Nicely captured image BigV.
I haven't had much time to browse the net over the last few months with travel, work and lack of internet connections but I try and view the POTW when I can. I was looking at a similar shot just this morning on the wall of the local Camera House in Coffs, and it was similar in some respect to your shot, with a huge wave crashing over the north breakwall etc. Brings back memories of many storms enjoyed here on the north coast of NSW.
Well done.
