Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Firstly, I'm having some technical problems getting the image to post, but hope that should get resolved soon. I've chosen this image even though it is not sharp. I love the purple regal foreboding figures that seem to be dancing around the small bright object (the light of creation?) and I can read so much into this image that my mind keeps inventing new interpretations. I see the image as more abstract than figurative and in that light keep enjoying its mystery's. I'm also glad that Sully had the courage to post an image that he liked even though it was not technically perfect. Original thread here

Yep. Done. A couple of minor typos in my code changes required by me changing the server. Good choice Matt; I also like the rich colours in this image.

Very interesting image! I agree it is a brave effort to overcome one's fears to post an image that is not technically perfect.
Great choice and well deserved Sully!
