PotW - February 5, 2013

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

PotW - February 5, 2013

This week's choice is a simple image, from Geoff M .

In this image, Geoff has made great use of selective focus, plus he's captured some great action, all in what is basically a very simple setup. Elegant would not be an inappropriate word here.

Gary, I think that's the second time you have selected an image of mine for PotW with a child in it! Thank you. I think the new camera is helping me create some alternative images.

Geoff,

I must be getting old. :)

In all seriousness, perhaps the camera is helping you to see things a little differently, and perhaps to try some different things?
