Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

This weeks selection comes from bigsarg7, great selection and write-up! Thanks for taking the time to review and select for POTW I think I have had the hardest time figuring out which image would be my pick for Picture of the week. I have been back and forth so many times looking at three images. Geoff's fourth image from the thread "The Cage" http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=44259Ozi's Scouting for the wedding Portrait of his daughter. http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=44256Rodneys "Garie Simplified" colour photograph. A photograph that I truly would like to hang up in my house. http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=44251In the end I have chosen to go with Geoff's Image. I just keep going back to it. As my eyes move through the set of images he captured from the cage, this particular image kept my attention the longest and drew my eyes deeper into the image to discover each of the layers of the cage it had captured. I cannot say an image like this would have been top of my list for picture of the week, however I see it as Art, not just a photograph. Well done Geoff, a subject matter that works.

Congrats Geoff. The reason I continue to look at this photo is because I simply can’t work it out which in my book makes for a great photo.
