POTW 15.01.08

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

POTW 15.01.08

Postby Geoff on Tue Jan 15, 2008 6:24 pm

I was quite chuffed when I realised I was the mod that got to choose the POTW for the 'newly improved' forum!

This week was an easy one for me (not usual) when I stumbled across Marc's macro's of the Dragon Fly's and his series found here.

There were more than one great images in this series but I particularly liked the red dragon fly, the detail is incredible!

Congrats to Marc for this week's POTW.

I'm not usually one to mention more than one image that appeals to me in a week, but this week is different. If you havent' seen it already - take a look at Greencardigan's What is it? thread too, of the corallimorph, another beautiful image - well done to GC too!

Many thanks Geoff,
the 200-400 makes for a great, (though somewhat expensive) macro lens!

Cheers
