Picture Of The Week - January 8, 2008

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Picture Of The Week - January 8, 2008

Postby Nnnnsic on Tue Jan 08, 2008 9:04 pm

Busy busy week as far as picture postings go.

Ya'll don't make it easy on us? Have you seen how much good stuff was posted this week?! Geeze.

I have the honour of giving this week's Picture Of The Week to a Queenslander who around this time of the year was gracing us New Southerners with a bit of Welsh with his presence.

Image

It's crisp and clear and it really makes you feel as if you were out there.
I love the image... now if only I liked beer.

Congratulations Manta.

Congrats Simon, and nice choice Leigh!

It's a funny thing about us Queenslanders, living in the warm climes as we do. We never see snow here, so when we go overseas and find snow and ice we think it's just a giant Esky! :D

Top choice and a great shot.

Makes we want to take an 'inspired by' shot when I'm in the Snowies later in the year, perhaps Cascade by the rapids?

Great shot Simon, and great choice from Sycamore #1.
