POTW for 26th Jul., 2011...Guest Selector

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

POTW for 26th Jul., 2011...Guest Selector

Postby fozzie on Thu Jul 28, 2011 7:46 pm

On behalf of the DSLRUsers.com Team I would like to thank Tony (Big V) for his contribution as Guest Selector this week.

I am selecting this more as a reward for those who try and add something a bit different to a normal landscape shot.

Shhh!
We locals have known about the visitors for years. We just don't want the press up here.
You may hear the odd story about another bushwalker going missing, then turning up days later. Sometimes in surprisingly good health. Sometimes with his or her body strangely mutilated. The truth is out there, but if the press get hold of the story, the truth will be as mutilated as some of those bodies

Great capture Rodney.

Thanks fellas - although I think in reality it's discovering a new technique to try (and attempt to perfect) and giving it a go

Perhaps you'll be interested to know what happens when things go wrong (the aliens get mad?) :)
