Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Thanks to Bigsarg aka Kristen for the time taken to view and select this weeks most prestigious award in the photography world, yes thats right, DSLRUsers POTW for the 10th June Great choice, I missed it first time round and I gotta say its a thought provoking image, great stuff Piro. I love the inclusion of the boy on the right with the Kippah (?) and the tension it creates with the boys on the court playing ball - excellent stuff and I could write stuff about this all day lone, but I think it can be summed up with 'cracker'. POTW 10th JUNE 2014 Wow, time has flown since my last selection. I haven't been commenting on images much lately but I frequent the page on a daily basis keeping an eye on whats been happening and well i've been very impressed with everyones helpful and kind comments that have been left on a regular basis. It has been a great feedback for me in the past and even now. So keep your feedback for everyones images coming. Together we can all improve, grow and develop together. Ok, Finally over to my POTW selection. I have been looking at 3 threads a lot these last few days. Passing Time, Play and The Morning Gerry Abandoned Me. All these threads held images which were to my liking. I loved the Colours and landscape that Geoff Captured. However Rodney's shot "The wedge" was close to becoming my pick for POTW, the horizon and use of the pool of water in the foreground shows how composition can work. Yet my final choice for POTW is "PLAY", for a simple reason in that the perspective Pirostitch captured has made his image an absolute delight to sit back and look at. https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3670/142 ... 64d7_c.jpg Keep up the photographs folks. Well done Piro, you deserved it!! Bigsarg
