Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

This weeks selection comes from Zafra, thanks for remembering and taking the time to select. Great choice and excellent image Geoff. My choice for picture of the week is the first picture of A couple more 56/1.2 portraits by Geoff M ( http://gmarshall.zenfolio.com/img/s6/v1 ... 6036-4.jpg). I like the angle, the position of the subject, the black and white treatment, the sharpness of the subject's eyes and the gradual blur. I find the gaze of the subject into the camera lens mesmerising. Overall, it is a beautiful and sensitive photograph of a beautiful subject and the type of picture that many parents would like on their walls.
