This weeks standout is this pic by zafra52. It is unusual in that the composition is basically a square with the subject matter in the middle. At first glance there is nothing of interest happening but then you start to notice little quirky factors, such as the photographer framing the pigeons...seems he finds them more interesting than the busker. The truck that seems to filed with rubbish, the group of women far right passing by oblivious to the performer, and most of those seated around the square seemingly ignoring the performer. It all lends a rather disturbing sense of surrealism to the image and the B&W treatment tends to support that. The distance between the busker and his audience is also a little odd, as if they are forbidden to get closer and enjoy the performance.
