Thornton Pickard made cameras from around 1890s. Different models were produced even way back then. They even made models with pneumatic shutter release. They also built the focal plane Imperial Two Shutter Camera, a view camera with a roller-blind shutter built into the rear standard.

The camera below was built in 02 [at a guess 1902] at AL Tringham and sold by H.Squire & Co 116 King Street Sydney.........

Is there much noise at 1600 iso on that model?

I have this one and a Sanderson, some early roll film cameras, and a mint 5 x 4 speed graphic and a few len's, which I was using with a 6 x 12 roll film back up untill I got the D70........

only when you process in print developer......... it realy brings out the grain.......
