Does anyone know if there are problems using rechargable NiMh or Imedion style batteries in older style cameras/motor drives. I have the MD-4 for the F3 that takes 8 batteries and would prefer to use rechargables. Appreciate comments before I order a stack.

I have had issues using the Eneloops and Imedions in my MB-16 (F80), due to the lower voltage on these batteries the camera very quickly decides the batteries are flat.

So what you are saying is that such drives struggle with the 1.2 volt discharge of rechargables and I have to waste money on alkalines? Bugger.

No harm in trying but you may find that the difference in voltage may result in the need for alkaline batteries

From what I understand, the MD4 (F3) uses batteries in the motor drive to run both the drive and meter. The MB-1 (F2) only runs the drive, I think, suggesting that the voltage difference may be less relevant. Not sure.
