This was one of the very first pics I took with my very first Nikon. It was around 6am on a winters morning - location the embankment, London. The ship in the pic is the Discovery, and yes the sky was that colour.

Comments always welcome - good or bad

Colours are wild, looks like the colours in the sky you get in the desert sometimes, that no-one believes are real. Is it a slide?

Cheers

Yes the sky was unreal that morning (39 years ago )

Yes Digitor, it was a Kodak slide.

I really like the trees and the water showing through, although I keep tilting my head to the side to look at it. How many of your slides have you scanned Chris? Do they bring back many memories? I love seeing them!

Scanning, scanning, scanning as I write this - you won’t believe the memories they are bringing back to me - very nostalgic

Chris,

wouldn't it complete everything if you can go back and take a photo of the same scene now :D

This is beautiful, Chris. The colours are stunning. I love London, and hopefully will get back there again for a visit.

Chris
Those old Nikkormats were virtually indestructible! Waiting for a digital SLR that robust.
