nude pregnant modelHi all,
the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra has on display again the amazing giant nude pregnant lady. She is made of silicon and the detail is amazing. Colour of the skin, blood vessels, warts, hair, teeth ... (amazing) If you want a perfect model that doesn't blink, complain, get tired etc, this is the one for you. here she is: and: Cheers, CD
Of course she doesn't blink; her eyes are closed!
Interesting piece of work. g.

another imageHi,
here is one more image of the lady. Considering her patience, she is not moving and not going anywhere and it doesn't cost anything to take photos of her. She is the perfect model ! Cheers, CD
Have any trouble getting your cam into the gallery?

Hi WW,
no problems getting the camera in and taking photos. They don't like flash and a backpack may need to be left at the cloak desk. So taking only the camera or a litlte bag is fine. Cheers, CD
I love the B&W portrait. The contrast you have managed to display is exquisite.
Fascinating. Which brings me to a subject of 'what is art?' An enormous silicon pregnant naked woman is art???? Huh?? Is it because she is pregnant? Or silicon? Or enormous???? While you are at the ANG you may bask in the glory that is 'Blue Poles.' A tongue in cheek moment Steve.

Hi Steve,
this silikon sculpture may be a display of the art the artist is practising, cabable of, when creating these sculpures. When the lady was initially displayed, it had additional information how she was created. There was definitly a high level of craft involved. HTH, CD
It is an amazing sculpture. HUGE. You have to see it to believe it. Blew me away - i could stare at this giant biatch for hours. (Im being quite serious here). I will definately take my camera into the NGA next time i visit. Thanks for posting Christian.
