perhaps if you post your queries here, you can pick several SB800 minds at once ? After all, what other photographic resource can be better than this forum ??

I agree Dave. Willy, please post your questions. I for one will be reading them and the answers (especially). When my SB800 arrives from Birdy within a day or so I know I'll be on a steep learning curve, so will be looking for all the hints I can get. You can be sure the answers to your questions will help many people.
Cheers, John

Yeah Birddog, Tassie is a long way from Sydney. But I suspect the extra load on OzPost due to Christmas may be slowing things down, although you'd think they could predict an increase in mail volumes this time of year. The ironic thing is that O1 whom I work with had to go to Sydney today for the day on short notice. He was going to try to get out to see you but I think he's on a tight schedule.
At least your package didn't get held up in an armed hold up like the 20 2.8 that Walter is sending me.
Cheers, John

Steve,
what the others have said. The purpose of this forum is to help one another and to try to provide knowledge for all.
While it's probably OTT for me to suggest to you that it's inappropriate to solicit your responses by phone (or PM), I do think it's both counter productive and contrary to what we're doing here.
And if you think that your questions might be unique, I'd respectfully suggest that even if they've not yet been asked, there's someone else dying to know the answer.
Please ask away ...

Absolutely Steve - the mysterious beastie has many fans but few who know it intimately. Seek and we all shall receive.
