Without starting another Nikon v Canon debate, I want to say both the D2X and 1DS Mark II are excellent cameras made by sensational manufacturers, but as a nikon user I am overjoyed to see the D2X hold its own.

Glad you posted this. Closeup detail shows the D2X very well in holding detail cropped into the same area.
