Majority RULES :)

Brad is aware of this and was unaware of that section of our FAQ. If you are also unaware, maybe it's a good time to read the FAQ.

For those that didn't see it, the image was of a rail with maybe 30 cameras set up on it with lots of Canon white lenses

there was a thread on fred miranda ages ago regarding canon lenses in action, i can't find it atm, but it showed pretty much every single major sporting event had a flood of white lenses.

I think thats' the main reason canon has gone for white lenses, its extra marketing.

Most magazine ads i've seen where there's a flood of canon lenses, has the slogan long the lines of "majority knows best" or something like that, can't find the ad at the moment, it was for NFL, i suppose it doesn't help that canon is one of the major sponsors for NFL.

i think it might be a 100m sprint.

I remember seeing these types of setups on a 100m sprint, all the ones on the rails are all on pocket wizards or something, and they just go nuts.

Are the camera on the bottome row remote controled or is it just for the three guys. I would like to stitch the images from all those lenses up.

All fired from Pocket Wizard Plus's. Being that there are only 4 channels though its kind of crazy. They would be in a seperate location and have these camera's set up to recieve so they can get multiple angles of the same image.

Stiching all the images isnt really going to make anything special with the distance between each camera being so small except an overlap of the same thing. Its not going to be a very effective # dimmensional image if thats what you were thinking.

Superbowl?

I'm unsure on this. Not really a sport you would think you could have a camera fixed on one location though is it? and Alot of camera's fixed on that same spot too.

It's quite clearly the Dominos International Pizza Throwing Finals.

Look in the bottom RH corner.

As already stated, I'm pretty sure that was at the 100m final at the olympics.

I vote lawn bowls with Domino's as the major sponsor, Mick Malloy style :)

Although this is hooked up to a Canon XL1, its still about the 1200 and still worth the read!
