I notice that Computer World is selling the 5D for $4,149 (taking into account the $500 cash back for cameras purchased before 31 May)
Computer stores can have some good deals on cameras.

If only I had a need for FF and that many MP's and I'm pretty sure photo continental sell it for a similar price if you shop there regularly.

Take care that its not a "grey market" 5D which Canon Australia will not accept for warranty repairs.

Whilst Computer World's staff tend to be among the most pointless of computer store staff I've ever seen, I doubt they'd sell grey gear.

If Canon will accept warranty repairs on grey market gear is there any disadvantage with not buying locally? (As opposed to Nikon who won't accept the cam for repairs?)

Who said Canon accept warranty on Canon Grey imported gears?
I have my customer just paid 980 bucks for Canon Australia to replace the meter and few other bits of his Canon 1DS MKII, which he bought from US last December.

Sorry, that was my fault - I left out "not".
