Hi Guys

Anyone of your smart people know how to automatically copyright images as they are taken with a Canon 5D?

I need to invest some time to start protecting my work, especially on flickr!

Im going to look into photoshop watermarking also..

Thanks!

Not sure how to do that for flickr,

but I have Lightroom set to add that info to the image metadata on import.

Dave, that sounds even better! Could you give me some basic info on how to set that up please?

Basically, when you import your photos into Lightroom, you will be prompted with the import dialogue. From there, select metadata dropdown list and go into custom. Type in the fields you want and save as your own, eg. "Copyright 2007 Yi-P".

On the import, select "Copyright 2007 Yi-P" and all photos imported will be automatically be tagged with your copyright, URL, address etc that you assigned in that custom metadata profile.

also, if you have connected your camera via USB to your computer, you can thru the canon software put the Owner's name (yours) and load it onto the camera, and it will also attach that to the metadata of any photos you take.
