Better than doing it to your own lens! :twisted:

At least insurance will cover most of it.

i have a feeling they where not insured, from the info i read on POTN they where going to fold the business because it was such a large loss, not sure whats happened now though.

I dunno, in their words, I took it as they had insurance?
No, the customer is not responsible for the full damage. He had insurance (purchased from us at time of rental) on this lens, so is only responsible for 12% of the cost of replacement.

This is all the comment I will give as far as insurance and the underwrites, etc.

the thread states that he was insured and only liable for 12% of the $7k odd cost of a new lens.
