nighttime settings

Postby theefixrr on Fri Oct 31, 2008 2:56 pm

im shooting nighttime football and been doing it for 10 years. i use a mark II and a 300 2.8 and a 70-200 2.8. I set my camera on manual and can get about 1/400 and have to push my camera to 1600 or even 3200. now, its for a newspaper and most of the pics are black and white so, some noise is ok, and i get some great shots, but when i shoot for a mag, i need to get rid of the noise. any ideas on some ways i can push my camera without getting so much noise. deeper settings, personal settings in my camera that i can use to help the situation. flash is not an option.

thanks
