Gidday,

Can anyone tell me if the Canon FD lenses will fit the 350D?

I'm about to go and do some google searches, but though someone might know this here also.

Cheers

Not without an adapter, and of course they will be manual focus.

Unfortunately no, when Canon brought in the EOS they scrapped the FD lens system and replaced it with the EF system. Thats one reason why I went with Nikon for digital because the lens are backward compatible. I have some nice FD glass which I can only use with my older Canons. Hope this helps.

Thanks Petal666 & Moggy,

I didn't mind the manual focus part. But I don't have the adapter and would then have to source one.

There are a few cheap FD lenses on Ebay that I might have liked to try out for the right price.

Cheers

Adaptors aren't easy to come by which is a crying shame as there are some great FD lenses. When I shoot film I use my T90 so that I can use my FD glass.

Have you read this article?
It talks about film EOS bodies, but all that will be the same with the 350D.
