looking at some recent photos, I find that there are a couple of stuck/dead pixels when using long exposures, typically longer then 0.5 second. This is on a D200.
Looking at the Nikon knowledge base, I found this article
As described in the article, I don't see the dead pixels in "normal" photos as described in the article, exposures faster then 1/4 sec.
The process to fix these hot pixels is to remap the sensor and that is done by Nikon. My D200 is still under warranty so not a problem from this perspective. What I would like to know:
- Has anyone gone through this process with Nikon?
Are they picky about that 1/4 sec exposure limit?
I can always clone the things out but as I do mostly landscape photography with exposures longer then 1/4sec, those pixels tend to come up often.
Thanks for any info,
André
