Disappointed in the D50The D50 is missing a feature that I really needed this afternoon. It doesn't have a 'Mow the Lawn' mode. I just spent 2 hours mowing the lawn and I figured that the D50 should be able to do this for me.
Is there a firmware upgrade? Or do I have to get the D200. I think Nikon have messed up by not providing this. Chris
Chris,
You've made your day with the topic of this thread Birddog114

No need to upgrade to the D200. All you need is the MTL-01 optional accessory.
Last time I checked Birdy still had a few in stock, just email him re prices If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??
When I got my D70, It came with lawn mowing, washing, ironing and cleaning the house....
The wife said if you buy that camera " You will be mowing the lawn, ironing, washing and cleaning the house to make it up to me" So now all that stuff is done and I have the camera. Life is a about comprimises. MATT
A spokesman for Apple /Mac has just annonced the arrival of the new Apple i-mowed.Which cuts twice the grass of the previous model, the u-mowed.
Microsoft who have been grasscutters for years are also releasing one . Upon seeing the i-mowed they are now feverishly 'improving' there own X-dishwasher with an add on grass trimmer as we speak. .For customer assistance call Jims mowing .
I thought that Wife stood for Washing, Ironing, F'ing Etc Hey Birddog, ya got any of them MTL-01 in stock? 2 hours. I'm on half an acre, it included doing the edges and I haven't mowed for awhile. It takes a bit longer when the weeds are knee deep. Last edited by blinkblink on Fri Nov 04, 2005 8:34 pm, edited 1 time in total.
That's why I got the D2X....it mows the lawn and washes the car. I just sit back while my wife brings me a beer and then she goes and cleans my lenses for me.

So far I've only used my camera to take photographs. But I'm fairly new to DSLR cameras, and I expect that as my skills improve I'll be able to do more things, and get a lot more out of my camera. I've seen big lenses that would make great washing machines.

I was going to use my camera as a prop in the play I'm in at the moment, a sexual prop no less, but I decided the better of it... mostly because when we all get drunk after the performance each night, and we will, I don't want anything to happen to it.

Is it your sexual prop or your camera that you are in fear of being damaged?

I'd just take a photo of the shawn lawn and look at it every time someone tells me it needs shearing. g.
