Found this blog on DPreview.

If you read the whole blog the original photos were found on an official Nikon site (Thom Hogan has verfifed this).
Looks like the new one will be a D80 (if this has not been reported previoulsy). I know that there has been a lot of speculation. If this is wrong or already been mentioned, apologise for wasting your time
