D200 Can we buy extra Warranty through thirdparty from Poon?

Can we buy extra Warranty through thirdparty if we buy a body from this site?

I just want to the sums. Lens sure 100% I would buy from here. but bodies hmm. I was offered a Maxwell stock by paxtons for $2500 inc 4 year extended waranty.

Also is the extended warranty any good? As some members here know I had the D100 for over three years and I plan to have D200 for a long time.

So the logic is $1950 ($2200 if I get unlucky with customs) or $2500 inc 4 years warranty by Paxtons (I will buy it from Borge if they match it).

What do you guys think? As D200 is still relatively new.

The short answer is yes. My understanding is that as long as the camera is less than 12 months old, you canget the third party warranty.

THat is certainly what I'd be doing

Thanks Gary, I will put the order through here if I can get extended warranty.
Do you know any companies? Do i go direct? And the last question is the payment by cash deposit only or can I use CR card.

Thanks for the fast reply. After my play with D200 last week. I now really want one. I hope Poon has stock.

Also what is the delivery method? is it HK post? Can i have it delivered to my office?

Poon accepts a direct deposit into his account (in Australia). Whether your bank allows you to use CrCard to make deposit into another bank, then it is possible.

Shipment is done by HK Post, arrives in about 5 working days. Packaging and others I have been happy so far with my previous order from HKS ebay store.

Yes, you can have it shipped to your office.

Hi everyone,

apparently Mack warranty can be purchased within the first 30 days of camera purchase.
Have a look at http://www.mackcam.com/warranty.html
I'm thinking about going that way.
Does anybody have experience with Mack warranty ?

Regards,
christian

I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"

Can't find Mack (In Australia) but I have seen these peoples broshures about in stores

http://www.phototech.com.au maybe DSRLusers could get involved?

Or I can buy it from (I will need to double check that I can just buy the warranty though)

Maybe Gary ocould organise. I wouldn't mind paying the extra if it was from this site and it support the cost as well. The saving is still impressive.
