Yay, now the proud owner of.....Well yesterday was a flat out day for me and my husband. We privately purchased a D700, a 28 f1.4 Nikon lens, a 24mm f2.8 Nikon Lens, 28-200mmG Nikon Lens and finally a 17-35mm Nikon f2.8. All up it was a great deal, all only purchased in November last year (receipts proved it) and only shot 1000 shots on the d700. The guy also through in a 16gig CF card, Lowepro Magnum bag (medium) and hand grip.
So happy with it, my husband had to fly to get it and then fly back and drive home, so we arrived home after 1am this morning, but couldn't wipe the smile from my face. Had a little fiddle this morning and I am amazed, I am so happy I purchased it. I have 2 weddings on this weekend coming, so i've got my d200 to use as well, I am well and truly set up now I think. Might off load some of the lenses later on as they're not all needed, but then again now i've started using them i think its going to be hard to let them go!! Please don't think I am bragging, I just had to share it with others who could understand my excitement!! Next step post some first images!! lol Thanks for looking. 2 x Fuji xt1,vg-xt1 grip, Fujinon xf 18-55mm 2.8-4, Fujinon xf 14mm, Fujinon 56mm 1.2.
Re: Yay, now the proud owner of.....Glad to see a happy ending.
You are a lucky girl to have such an understanding hubby. You will love the 700 Regards Colin

Re: Yay, now the proud owner of.....Congratulations.
That is certainly a low use D700. I got my D7000 only 2 weeks ago and I have already taken over 600 shots and in that same period I've taken 400 shots with my D300. If you are going to use the D700 for the weddings this weekend, make sure you have practiced and practiced and fully understand the differences between the D700 and D200. The last thing you want is for the D700 not to do what you expect and ruin the shots.
Re: Yay, now the proud owner of.....Congrats, and I know how you feel after getting my new 5D II and lens's 3 weeks ago.
I still play with it (the camera) at night when I get home! The novelty will no doubt wear off I am sure but it's great having a new toy! Cheers, Bruce

Yeah definately having lots of practice with the camera, loving it I actually find it easier then the d200 which is a good thing. I like the layout of buttons, only minor changes but comfy ones! collin
Totally blessed, he is so supportive and he said out of the sale of our old house I could get one, and then the package was offered to me and well he let me have an extra 2 k towards it again. So yeah totally blessed to have a hubby like i have! Surenj

If you don't share the excitment the pressure builds up till you explode, and nobody wants that to happen. Good luck with the weddings. Craig

Re: Yay, now the proud owner of.....The only lens that might now be essential to keep IMO is the 28-200
I'd keep the primes and everything else for sure. Old D200+extras
Re: Yay, now the proud owner of.....Congratulations. That is some kit.
Given that this was all only just recently purchased new, why was the owner selling it all? g.
