Hi, does anyone know of places in OZ that do an Ai conversion??

I hasterly/stupidly purchased a 55mm 3.5f Micro without doing all my research first. It is a imaculate 55mm 3.5f Micro Nikkor with a PK-3 extension tube. From what I can find out from the serial number(879766) it is a non-Ai lens.

WIth the extension tube on it just didnt feel right so I removed that and mounted onto the D200 and took a couple of shots seemed OK. Then when I returned home I looked up the Internet and found I should NOT
 mount this .

So anyway I'm looking for somewhere that can convert or maybe some old school hacking/drilling ect.

Or Should I just ebay it and hope for the best.

MAtt, can you post a photo of this, please?

From the top, with a clear view of the mount.

The easiest way to tell is to look at the metering shoe. It's a small aluminium appendage on top of the lens, mounts with two small screws, and has a slot in it.

The slot permits engagement with the metering finger on older bodies, such as the FTn.

On non-AI lenses, this shoe is solid, but on AI compatible lenses, the sections on either side of the slot have been hollowed out.

I'll try find something more definitive later, but this should let you tell, at a glance, the type of your lens.
