Battery Grip for D50???

Hey guys - has anyone seen or tested a battery grip for a D50.
Ive only seen a chinese one on eBay.

Same deal as all the D70 aftermarket grips - you don't get control dials and you can't half-press the shutter button as it relies on the remote functionality.
I wouldn't bother, but you might consider if you desperately needed more battery life

mmm - being able to use rechargables would be an advantage for me.
I tend to shoot concerts / festivals and i have noticed recently that RAW is chewing through my batteries really quickly.
Whereas with Jpeg i might get 1000 shots out of a charge - with raw i might get 250 - 300.
This is all without flash
how many shots do other people get?

D70 with the grip, bounded with 2x EN-EL3, roughly 1500 - 2000 RAWs if I didnt lose the count somewhere in between. Random built in flash uses.

Warranty might be an issue!

If it works though the IR system it would burn battery and would only work for 20mins and as said, you can't focus it using the grip.
Buy a D80, they are 100 times better, I did and I've never looked back.

I have one for a D70's and have to say it does half press and focus thru the grip release button.
I havent actually been able to kill the twin batteries yet! (1100+ shots in a day recently).
