Use the Nikon UK link:

I updated my D80 this morning, worked without a hitch.

Sorry, I grabbed the link directly from dpreview, and wasnt aware that it has a 'zone' restriction on it.

Thanks for pointing that out :D

Hi...

You can only download from the US site if you have a US purchased Nikon Product.... Typical, what more can you expect from Nikon US..!!!!!
Gee, someone might download their firmware to try and load it on their Canon....
How stupid are these people in Nikon US, restricting something that was made available through Nikon to everyone....

Anyway, I also downloaded mine from the European Nikon site (user friendly to Nikon owners) and it loaded OK...
Have yet to try if there is any difference.. This is the link to the site I used..

http://nikoneurope-en.custhelp.com/cgi- ... d=Y1a2z2ti

It has both the D40 & D80 upgrades.... If you have problems downloading it, just let me know your email and I'll send it through to you.. BTW, the patch is about 1.2Mb so you can still get it if you only have dial up...

This is the link that explains how to install it if your not sure....

It would have been nice if they added the ability to change ISO with the FUNC button, not just view it.
That way, the 3 major controls of exposure would -literally- be right at your finger tips.
