Sigma lenses on the D80Hi all,
I have been doing a bit of work with a company that requires Nikon D-SLR cameras with telephoto lenses for aerial surveliance work. On shaky advice they bought an ex-demo D200 with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 lens and as most of you know the AF on this lens will not work when you push the AF on button at the back of the camera. What I am hoping someone can tell me is... will this same lens work with a the Nikon D80 camera when you set up the AF/AE lock button to work as the AF on button? The company needs a second camera and I am hoping to make a better informed purchase for them, starting with the Nikon 80-200 f2.8 lens. If I get them a D80 I am wondering if that will work better on the Sigma lens. Cheers, Ants
If you upgrade the D200 firmware to version 2.0, the AF on button will work perfectly with the Sigma 70-200 2.8 HSM.

Shooting a telephoto from a plane you will be more beneficial from a Nikon 70-200VR, otherwise you may have to crank up the ISO and shutter for it.
