G'day, gona drop my D70 off at Bondi for a service (under warranty) for not turning off.

Wondering if they will give it a good clean for me? Or will i have to pay for this?

cheers..

You usually get a clean as part of the service, I wouldn't let them charge you for it.. but thats just my experience.

A bucket full of hot soapy water and a good scrubbing brush will bring it up gleaming! :D :D :D

I'm a bit curious, really how often should camera gear - bodies and lenses be sent for a professional strip and clean?
I assume it's different for each (bodies vs lenses) and it's not possible to answer in a timeframe as everyone uses their gear differently...

Good luck with the clean...
Cheers.

I got a free clean when I handed mine in for repair, so hopefully you'll get lucky.

Can't wait to get him back..

Now THAT'S a poll we need to introduce: "What gender is your camera?" :D :D

If it is doesn't turn off, did you try removing the battery and reinserting? Mine did the same (Nikon D50) and it reset itself. Try that first. (May be you did already?)
