Welcome.

There is very little I am unhappy about with my D70.

David, I used to have a D70s, but sold it to someone....

Can you let jamesw know the manufacturers name of the vertical grip?

Glad you like the camera by the way! :D

May I ask what were your reasons for the change? I will be bying my first DSLR soon and the K10D was on my short list.

hey bugeyes the only reason i swapped is because the majority of my shooting is BMX and Skate photography and the nikon platform has a higher flash sync speed as well as an electronic shutter so i am not restricted with my flash photography. the k10D is a really nice camera but i woulds advise if you buy one only shoot RAW because the jpeg are very soft. apart from that the k10D is a nice entry level DSLR :D

yeahhhh, 1/250s sync is uber limiting with a mechanical shutter. d70/d70s are an awesome camera in the right hands (same as any camera i guess!)

raskill: i think i have tracked down a similar grip to what dave has. problem is that they are uber expensive (US250 or something), dont think im going to bother... considering the value of the camera, and i suspect a very low resale value of the grip...

might get a cheapo one off ebay for 100 bucks with the I/r shutter release cable. if i end up never using it, its not like i put heaps of $ into it....
