Cheap flash bracket for 70-200VR

Found this clever little idea for a cheap flash bracket for the 70-200VR.

I can't read a single word of chinese, but the pictures speak for themselves.
The synch cord they used isn't cheap (> $100 at D-D). However, it should be possible to achieve the same result by using the on-camera flash to trigger the SB-600/800 wirelessly. To mount the flash to the tripod collar, we can use the stand that comes with the SB-600/800 (via some sort of standard 3/8" thread adapter).
I haven't tried it myself because I'm not sure how useful a flash would be in situations where you need the range of a 70-200. Nevertheless, I thought it was a pretty clever idea.
