I've read a manual for Nikon cameras in Europe that have an option to select a European language. For Nikon cameras sourced from Japan, is there a similar language option that includes English?

As far as I'm aware all Nikon digital cameras have multi language capabilities. It's normally an option under one of the menus.

From all the Nikon cameras I played around in Japanese shops (in Japan), they all read Japanese to start with, but you can change back into English via the menu. But I'm not sure if the manual will come in Jap only or Jap/Eng in 2 booklets.
Either way, you can download full .pdf manuals from Nikon USA website. So that is not much of a problem.

Thanks, guys. I was reading the US Nikon manual where it says the first thing you see when you start the camera is the language selection. Hopefully the Japan sourced Nikon will have that option first up
Otherwise I'll have some fun going through the menus in Japanese lol

If it does come with Japanese menus, you may be able to do a firmware upgrade to convert to Latin languages.

Mine only came with two choices: Strine, or Blue.

I had to look it up on google, but now I know what you mean
Not sure I could take a camera talking to me with a Pauline Hanson accent
