I've managed to score a Nikkor 50mm 1.8 for $50 from another forum but it is a non D model. I've had a look around and all I can find is that the non D model doesn't transmit distance information.
I was just wondering if this will affect anything?
I'm using a d70s if that's relevent.
Cheers,
Glenn

For 99% of photography, D or non D doesn't make much difference.
If you are taking a flash shot into a mirror it may have an impact.

for that price grab the lens and take lots of pixs......... it won't make any difference....... or just carry a tape measure
