The images up to ISO 1000 are definitely usable. The ISO 1600 image has some unwanted artifacts.

These just make me happier that my order went in today.

Thanks Gooseberry. Philip's work is brilliant. I can't remember seeing a clearer, sharper kingfisher image.

Now, if I only had a 600/f4 to match my D300. (Oh, and a couple of cooperative birds as well....)
