I just noticed my D200 is displaying the wrong date for picture information. Eg took some last night (24th Sept 2008) and the display says 26th July 2007. Is there a simple way to fix this?

Do you mean fix the D200 so that it embeds the correct date or fix the files of images already taken?

For the former, you go into the camera's menu system and set the correct date and time.

For the latter, you can use tools like ExifTool to modify the files, assuming you know the correct date/time.

To fix existing files, Lightroom, Expression Media, and presumably other programs also, have functions to correct the EXIF date info.

DO-OH! missed the date set function! I did look but missed it. Thanks for the help. Question is now: WHY did it happen?
Thanks again.

Its a good idea if you are running 2 bodys, to get the time and date sycronized perfectly, because if you are doing a wedding for example and the time is not syncronized, all your images will not be in order. if our shooting something like that, its important for your images to be in order.
