D300 using the pop up flash can remotely control the SB600. But the highest speed the camera will be 1/320s when the "pop up" flash is up. Is there anyway around this (using higher speed) other than buying a SB800/900?

I think you can use auto FP mode to sync the flash at higher shutter speeds. Not sure how well it works though as I have never had a need to use it.

cant use auto fp mode on the PUF. 1/320s is max speed.
