Zoom lens for D60 - any suggestions?

I am a newbie with a D60 with twin lens kit and I have been using the 55-200mm DX all the time. I am looking to get a zoom that goes further than the one I have... and I'd also like a good macro lens... Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Rooz, I am not sure what my budget is because I don't know how much they are... if that makes sense... I am thinking of between $400 and $800 for both if possible.... I want to shoot flowers and insects for the macro and Softball and fauna for the telephoto.

you wont really get much for that price for both unfortunatelty. especially with all the latest price rises.
some of your options are:

telephoto:
nikkor 70-300VR $925
sigma 70-300 APO, (there is a d40/60 version) $600ish

cant think of much else thats even close to that budget for tele's. that will AF for you and are longer than 200mm.

macro:
nikkor 60mm afs $780
i think tamrons 90mm/ 2.8 comes in a d40/60 version aswell. $700ish
sigma 150mm f2.8 $800ish

hopefully someone else can help with some stuff closer to your price range. otherwise, start saving your pennies !! lol

Rooz is right, there is not much that is worth buying in the lower end of your budget. Your 55-200mm VR should be quite capable of doing the work until you can save a bit more for one of the lenses listed above.
