Which has been reported in the main stream media & does not need to be covered again here.

Steffen wrote:THERE WILL BE SHORTAGE OF NIKON CAMERAS!!!

Which is relevant to a photography forum.

Interestingly, when I googled to double-check the number of dead and displaced I came across endless links about poor multinationals having their factories inundated, before I hit one talking about the human losses.

Cheers

As I said about Japan....stuff the cameras, lets worry about the people, and I hope that the multinationals will do the same as they did earlier this year.

Yes it is a big blow for Nikon and it will mean no cameras, but at the end of the day my sympathies lie with the people.

Oh well my D300 will remain current for a bit longer...that cant be bad right?

I've just seen the sattelite view of the floods. Looks like 40% country is under.

Lots of factories/undustry etc will be affected. I reckon this will set Thailand back quite a few years.
