This photographer put together his Nikon 1 with FT1, TC20III and 400mm f2.8 for a 35mm equivalent reach of 2160mm!!

Image results look pretty good too, but I still want to see Gary's side by side tests of the 85 f/1.4 on the V1 compared with the D3 and D300

Hmmm looks pretty good to me....now I am scared of the people catching on....esp those with an interest in IR and super high powered IR emitting LED's

And that's what I'm waiting on too.

I've seen a similar comparison to this one in DPR, and the results seem to suggest that the sensor is quite good. I'll be chasing this up later today, as we have the D4 launch in a couple of hours, at which time I have an excuse to chat to the PR.

And for those shooting video, I'm hoping to grab a review unit of one these today ... www.mymyk.com

Um... it won't fit inside the housing.

You clearly need a bigger housing. :)

Ah, the FT1 adaptor has just become available. Note though that the example is a static image. The primary use for this would be wildlife photography. Unfortunately Nikon-V1 + FT1 + long lens does not allow for AFC which precludes its practical use for moving wildlife. Just for landscapes, it becomes closer to a gimmick though you still retain autofocus and VR.
